WBTV obtained a search warrant today revealing graphic details in the case against the Myers Park High School teacher charged with possessing child porn.
Police have now seized his computer.
WBTV's Melissa Hankins has the latest on the investigation.
-------
When police first showed up at the history teacher's door, Ellington refused to give his computer over, allegedly wasting time so he could erase evidence.
But police were able to get to Ellington's deleted files anyway. What they found, detailed here in this report, was awful and embarrassing.
Today, Ellington tried to dodge our camera after appearing for the first time in court.
According to this search warrant, police found two types of child pornography on Ellington's computer, a picture of a boy and a girl and a video of two boys.
The news, related by a mass automated call to parents Friday night, upset quite a few, including Michelle Murdoff, mother of a 9th grade girl.
"I thought that they do background checks. It's a little unsettling that he's with kids. You know, he could have been with my child," she said.
Student Morgan Miller took his class last year, "I was very surprised."
Morgan says the scandal rocked the school today, "Everyone was talking about it."
She said some were as surprised as her, but others, "they said they thought he was creepy," she said.
And so are many of the warrant's details.
It says Ellington spoke to an individual from Greensboro online one time, in which he told the user that he was involved in a sexual relationship with a minor.
The teacher told CMPD though that the chat room talk was pure fantasy. Ellington claims he's never had sex with a minor and police say there's no evidence that he has.
