OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A Papillion man has been sentenced on federal charges of possessing thousands of images of child pornography.
U.S. District Judge Joseph Bataillon on Friday ordered 40-year-old Steven Sudyka to serve two years in prison and five years of probation. Sudyka had faced up to 10 years behind bars.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, a search warrant served at Sudyka's home on June 22nd turned up more than 3,000 pornographic images on a computer and related technology.
Sudyka pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography on November 15th.
